Hostway Continues Expanding of Web Hosting Plans
"In response to customers' ever growing online needs, industry leader Hostway Corporation has doubled the amount of disk space and email accounts in its Web hosting plans. The free service upgrade is automatic and will give all current and future shared hosting customers more powerful tools to create robust, successful websites.
According to Hostway, Due to significant growth in the use of multi-media content, Web sites need more disk space. Also, as websites stay up longer, files are added to customers' websites, making it vital to have disk space for future growth. This expansion from Hostway is to free customers from worrying about running out of disk space on their Web site.
Hostway made significant investments to upgrade its hosting infrastructure to provide this solution. In order to handle the extra data without sacrificing speed and reliability, Hostway implemented an EMC (R) NS700 system that can handle 34 Terabytes of data. The system is designed to scale beyond 34 Terabytes of data in the future. As part of the upgrade, the centralized data backup system's capability was tripled to continue to provide daily data backup service, essential for businesses, without any impact to the performance of customers' websites.
